Capt Scott is the best! We went near-shore fishing and caught a bunch of skip jacks and blues. The boat is wonderful. My kids had a blast. If I could give a 6-star review, I would.

Captain Scott Brown of Rising Tide Charters is a pro at what he does. We had the best day on the Bay with him and were thrilled to have caught some fish! Scott educated us very quickly and we got right to it. Scott is passionate, enthusiastic, extremely patient, experienced, and offers a wealth of great stories. His humor and passion are unparalleled and my family and I highly recommend a day out on Lady Lou with Captain Scott!

I charted a half day, bay fishing charter with Rising Tide, with the challenging goal of creating a positive experience for both my father-in-law who is an experienced angler, and my 8 year old son and 7 year old nephew with no real fishing experience. For starters, I accidentally booked the wrong day and Captain Scott graciously offered to accommodate me on the day I thought I booked (and my family was planning on). I later discovered he accommodated by taking us out on his birthday when he was going to take the day off! Captain Scott spoke with me the day before about my group and goals and recommended a plan that included starting with a spot with lots of croakers and chances for the kids to gets catches , and then moving to a spot for flounder in the second half of the morning. My son was in heaven with all the fish he caught at the beginning and we caught many flounder including multiple keepers in the second half leading my father-in-law, and the other adults in my party, to unanimously say it was the best day of fishing they had experienced! Captain Scott did such an amazing job of helping the kids (and me) throughout with an abundance of knowledge and charm. I didn’t think it would be possible to create an experience that would meet everyone’s needs and catch so many fish, but Captain Scott was more than up to the challenge. The only problem is now my son wants to get a fishing charter at home in Boston and I think Captain Scott may have ruined us for other Captains. As is likely apparent by this review, I can not recommend Rising Tide and Captain Scott more highly!!

Captain Scott is the man. A life filled with experiences and knowledge of the Jersey shore. Whether your fishing, touring the bay or just need a ride to the pub or restaurants he’s sure not to disappoint. I highly recommend Captain Scott for your next adventure.

We had an amazing day fishing with Captain Scott! He is so good with kids- extremely patient with our 9-year-old boys and very fun-loving. He is clearly an expert at fishing and has a great sense of humor! We will definitely be back!
